I Invented a new Ice Cream Topping

So we were eating ice cream the other night and I'm always looking for something interesting to add to my ice cream.  I looked through my cupboards and this is what I created... WARNING: this is very addicting!

Nutella Graham Crunch Topping
For each serving:
1 Tbsp of Nutella Spread
1 Whole Graham Cracker
2-3 scoops of your choice of ice cream (we used Tilamook Oregon Strawberry)

Spoon Nutella into a shallow bowl or cup. Microwave for about 20 seconds (not necessary but makes it easier to mix).  Put graham cracker into small food processor and grind into small crumbs (or crush in a ziplock bag).  Pour crumbs into Nutella and mix/mash until evenly incorporated. It should be crumbly at this point, if too gooey add more crumbs.  Sprinkle over top of ice cream. Devour.

This can also be made with peanut butter (creamy or crunchy) Although with peanut butter crumbs I might choose to drizzle some dark chocolate hot fudge over the top of it.  Delicious Recipe for Dark Chocolate Sauce. That's what I'm going to try next time.

I better stop this is making me drool.

Let me know if you try this and if you love it.

This would be divine with home-made ice cream. We have an ice cream maker similar to the one pictured above. I love home-made ice cream.

  2. So I bought 2 boxes of low fat graham crackers, because they were marked down to $1. They taste like cardboard... I'm definitely going to make ice cream topping with them.
